We had the pleasure of speaking with Jennifer Browne. A wife, mother of three, and the author of Happy Healthy Gut: The Natural Diet Solution to Curing IBS and Other Chronic Digestive Disorders. For many years Jennifer suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). A common disorder that affects the large intestine, commonly causes cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation.
Jennifer was diagnosed with IBS when she was twenty years old, and spent her entire twenties trying to eradicate her painful symptoms in every way she could. Since 2010, she's been completely pain-free after adopting a whole food, plant-based diet. This remarkable effect left her wondering why so many of us suffer through daily digestive pain, when the answer is so clearly simple: eat good food.
She's currently working on her second book, Vegetarian Comfort Foods (Spring 2015–Skyhorse Publishing, NY!). She has a B.A. in English Literature, and a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition.
Happy Healthy Life is Jennifer's blog, which documents her trials and tribulations with navigating our food system and separating fact from fiction when it comes to nutrition education.
The Happy Healthy Life provides readers with valid nutrition questions and answers. It is loaded with whole food, plant-based recipes, and welcomes everyone to share their own experiences with our food and medical system(s). The blog is ideal for plant-based foodies, parents, health providers, and those genuinely interested in obtaining fabulous health!
The Happy Healthy Life is geared towards those who would like to make a positive change in terms of their mental and physical health, and would like to accomplish this without prescription medication and/or surgery. It's also for those who have already made significant steps towards this change, but who may be searching for some new inspiration.
Join us as Jennifer Browne shares her path to better health and happiness by discovering the power of food.
